Trollbeads is the jewellery brand of Denmark founded in 1976. Trolls are mythical beings of the forest in Scandinavian folklore believed to have magical powers to influence a person's destiny. The belief that a person could acquire happiness by wearing Trollbeads has captured the hearts of the people of Denmark who wear the charms, each one bearing a wish or with a significant meaning.
The beads made of Italian Murano glass are individually finished by highly-skilled craftsmen in Denmark. The collections also include silver motifs of creatures and characters from fairy tales written by the Danish author, Hans Christian Andersen.

シルバーやゴールドのビーズは、まずワックスでビーズの原型を作り、その形を元にした金属製の鋳型の中に高熱で液体になったシルバーやゴールドを流し込みつくり出されます。
ガラスビーズはイタリアンムラノガラスを真っ赤に熱し、熟練の技術とともに一つひとつ手作りで仕上げられています。

Trollbeads are unique and extraordinary pieces of jewellery. Every bead has a story; inspiration is drawn from mythology, astrology, fairy tales, fauna, worldly cultures and most importantly, from special moments that flourish our everyday life in the present.
In addition to original designs, the greatest beauty of Trollbeads is their use of and the combination of valuable materials. The beads are made of high-quality silver, gold, Italian Murano glass (Venetian glass), Swarovski glass, freshwater pearls and semi-precious stones.
Gold and silver beads are created using a traditional method whereby a wax prototype is first used to build a metal casting mold into which high temperature liquid silver or gold are poured producing stunning pieces.
Glass beads are handmade by heating Italian Murano glass red hot in an open flame, which are then shaped, one by one, by skillful craftsmanship.
